HAYWARD — Authorities are looking for a 14-year-old girl who has been missing since Tuesday morning. Darlene Singh was last seen leaving her parents’ home at 7 a.m., when she took a taxi cab to the Hayward BART station, said Sheri-Lyn Miller, founder of Citizens for the Lost, a nonprofit that supports families of missing people and victims of violence. Her family believes Darlene then took BART to Oakland, Miller said. She was last in contact with a friend about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, when she exchanged text messages, Miller said. Darlene is 5-foot-4, 100 pounds, with curly black hair and an olive complexion, her family said. She was last seen wearing black pants and a blue sweatshirt. She suffers from social anxiety disorder and may need medical assistance, Miller said. Anyone with information about her whereabouts may call police at 510-293-7272 or Citizens for the Lost at 510-315-2321. Also, please contact her sister, Jashleen Singh. Jashleen’s Facebook is: http://www.facebook.com/jashleen96. Please, someone speak up if you know where she is. She can be anywhere in the Bay Area right now. And she is only a freshman at my school..
